An AI technology is being tested in Utah for use as a road condition tracking and maintenance tool. It uses crowd sourced video to track all kinds of road conditions including, potholes, pavement markings, signage and traffic control in work zones. The pilot program in Utah will start on June 1st with other state DOTs starting additional pilot programs in the future.
