Obviously this applies to PM's, supers and people up the chain. Those roles have been stereotyped as ones that piss people of on a regular basis. Engineers and foremen can be responsible and piss people off too. They might have a smaller or less critical scope assigned to them but they are still responsible for something which means that sometimes they get/have to challenge people, including, PM's and supers. For example, if a foreman or engineer stops a crew because of a safety or quality issue, it's likely going to piss the project leadership off. They'll have to get through a rough stage of questioning and justify their action. Being responsible isn't easy and it might make a few people mad but to be the best construction pros we can be and build a better world, it is necessary.
