Career Evolution


Our industry regularly experiences ups, downs and uncertainty. Trying to live life and make plans with COVID driven confusion isn't helping keep things steady. It is creating greater uncertainty. More specifically, it is pushing us into from known risks and uncertainties towards more known unknowns and unknown unknowns.


Many people are often worried about the long term potential of their jobs and careers and recent events have only increased these concerns. No matter the current state and future outlook of our industry and general economic forecasts, there are things we can do on an individual level to better set ourselves up for success in our current positions or be prepared to succeed in a different role. Being entrepreneurial, displaying self-confidence, continuously learning, continuously improving and reinventing ourselves can help us win at work in our current roles, transition into new positions as construction evolves or leap into totally different and new industries.
