CONEXPO - A Construction Nerd's Dream

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know the 2020 CONEXPO is taking place in Las Vegas right now. What started of as an equipment conference has evolved into something that encompasses all sorts of equipment, tools, technologies and educational sessions. Many new tools or equipment are publicly introduced at the conference. There are also tons of sessions/events to attend like the CAT Operator competition.

Even with some people being scared away this year, the total registered attendees is at 120,000 a drop-off of about 3% from the current record attendance. It goes to show the high level of interest construction pros have in the conference, as well as, our confidence to avoid the bad (Coronavirus) and maximize the good (education, information sharing, networking) when much of the country and world is fairly frightened regarding the sharing of germs and getting sick.

The conference is so cool and interesting that a bunch of (mostly) grown men take and share photos on LinkedIn and Instagram like the next generation of industry pros does as second nature. You'll be able to tell which older pros had coaching on the finer points of photo filters and angles, as well as, how to tweak and post on all kinds of social media platforms. Construction pros with advanced social media expertise will even update Facebook and Instagram stories like their lives depend on it.

If you want to learn more about the conference, you can see more at the event page. You can also Google CONEXPO and you'll find lots of articles, pictures and video from people attending.
