In a recent news article the Chief Economist for the AGC discussed historic construction job losses totaling 975,000 positions and 13% of the workforce. Total construction industry unemployment is at around 16.6%. 30% of firms surveyed reported project stoppages and 39% reported reduced headcounts.
In the same article, Procore provided unique industry insights based on their technology platform. Based on activity on their platform they found that firms had reduced demand and work hours across the industry.
