The Biden administration is working to protect US utilities from cyberattacks. This is very smart. With the simple insertion of some bad code, flip of an electronic switch or remote operation of a motor operated valve, our water, power and related utilities could be crippled. Without power, we don't have drinking water. Without both, modern America would struggle quickly and mightily. Communication providers, medical facilities, food services and other things that make daily life relatively easy for most Americans would stop working in short time as temporary power sources are strained and pushed to failure. Because of this, it is wise for government leaders to help beef up cybersecurity and redundancy of our nation's critical utilities.
