Related to yesterday's post on how do we know what smart and not so smart looks like, how do we pick who gets to make a decision or choose a course of action? Hopefully, they're smart, or at least knowledgeable on the decision making subject. Maybe even more important is making sure accountability and responsibility are assigned to one person. In a process, many people can be responsible for doing their part in making it a success but only one person can be accountable for the overall success or failure.
