Even though many of us celebrated Thanksgiving with family, in relatively normal ways, we are living in unique and challenging times. Even within families, the politics and beliefs on how to move forward and make our country the best it can be can vary widely. The best families don't completely hide from their differences. They still get together and have a good time. If they disagree on something, they often laugh it off or love each other through perceived deficiencies in intelligence or common sense thought. And, no matter what happens, they have each other's backs when things get tough. If we want to build a better world, we need to start with our immediate and extended families. We can then build better at work by fighting for our team members and workers instead of fighting against them. This seems a bit like "hippy dippy balogna: (thank you Lego Movie) but if we can't fight for people we know, and sometimes love, how can we fight for people we don't even know? We gotta start with those we know and love then use that momentum to build a better world everywhere.
“Family is not an important thing, it's everything.” -Michael J. Fox
