Food Vultures

Food vultures are the scavengers of free food. The type of food is less important than the price to the vultures – FREE. Scavenged food can include breakfast foods like donuts, bagels and wraps. Typical lunch food that are scavenged are pre-made sandwiches, pizza and occasionally buffet type scraps. Dessert trays get sniffed out and cleaned up quickly as well. Scavengers found in the trailer could be the engineer with no shame who will eat half a pizza while at work and then take another whole one home because he is tight on money. Frank the structures foreman might also call dibs on some leftovers that he can take home to his family to eat like kings, but for free, that evening for dinner. Corporate construction offices also have food vultures. Karen from accounting might seem unassuming but she might be the first to sniff out and snag leftovers. Sneaky field staff also make for good food vultures in the corporate office. While they might have come to pick up checks for their guys, they might leave with a snack or two. These vultures are difficult to identify because they are quickly in and out and don’t stick around long enough for the rest of the office to even know they were there.
