HR Related Enlightenment is the Key to Improving the Future of Construction


A recent article on BenefitsPro discussed a variety of future HR related jobs. Let's just say that the emotional intelligence and HR compliance of the average construction team might be tested a bit when adopting and getting used to the environment that creates these jobs or is created by these jobs. There's likely to be a few bad but pretty funny jokes flying around The Trailer as things evolve and grow. Everything from Genetic Diversity Officer, Chatbot and Human Facilitator, Workplace Environment Architect, Chief Purpose Planner and Distraction Prevention Coach (squirrel! could actually be useful now) are potential HR related positions of the future.


Fake HR jobs that might be helpful in construction are Cussword Curator, VP of Pranks, Feelings Foreman, Superintendent of Sarcasm and Head Honcho of Happy Hour.


In all seriousness, our industry is struggling to find and retain top notch building pros. We know that a combination of HR processes and support combined with strong individual leaders build strong teams and best develop the next generation of construction pros. The more HR enlightened we become, the more we can build better projects and build a better world.
