If You Don't Have Something to Say, Don't Just Say Something

Have you ever been in a meeting or on a job walk and there's that one person that just won't stop talking? I have. In construction, we can quickly look like a fool if we talk too much or beyond our knowledge and expertise. I've been there a time or two and I can usually tell I am there if I get uncomfortable or see the demeanor of the people around me noticeably change.

Not to get too off track or political but if you want to see a good example of fools talking simply because they have time and something to say, check out the Senate confirmation hearings for Amy Coney Barrett. People from both sides of the aisle have simply spoken "because they have to say something." I guess the sound of their own voice makes them feel so good that they don't mind looking like a moron to make it happen.
