Information Technology

Information technology (IT) is formally defined as "the development, implementation, and maintenance of computer hardware and software systems to organize and communicate information electronically." (https://www.dictionary.com/browse/information-technology?s=t)

Use in a sentence: I swear, every time IT sends someone by the trailer, it seems like our internet goes down and then our copier needs attention from the local tech rep.

If you are like me, you just want your technology (tools) to work when you turn them on and need them. Nothing fancy - just reliable usage. If you are like me, you might also be pseudo-convinced that any time IT makes an upgrade or does work on any kind on an already operating system or piece of hardware, it seems to make things slower, less reliable and even non-functional. I don't want to live with it and I can't live without it. Don't get me wrong, I love the technology tools I currently use but is it too much to ask that they remain fully FUNCTIONAL and AVAILABLE at ALL TIMES?
