Limbo

Cheesy image of limbo game. Not as fun in real life, likely resulting in acute injury.

When you think of limbo, you might think of the fun (cheesy) party game where you lean back and try to walk under the bar. As a kid it was probably fun but would break most adults in two. You might think of limbo in terms of religion as a semi permanent state between death and afterlife. As an adult, both kinds of limbo sound pretty painful to me. Limbo is most painful to me when I get myself into a state of indecision with something at work or at home. The what if's and the maybe's pile up, only making the limbo period last longer and weigh heavier on me. Interestingly, decision procrastination can lead to more questions and lengthier time in decision making limbo.

So how do we get ourselves out of decision making limbo? Make a decision.

Make a decision and commit. Don't look back. Well, look back after the decision has been fully carried out to make changes and strive for continuous improvement. If a decision didn't work out well, learn from it. Don't let past failure make future decisions harder. Use past failure to refine your decisions and solutions into more accurate and sound solutions.
