Most Contractors Are Pessimistic About 2021

According to an AGC news release, demand for most construction, and related jobs, is likely to decline in 2021. About 1/3 of construction firms anticipate adding staff, 24% anticipate cutting staff and 41% anticipate keeping staff levels the same through the year. Contractors are most pessimistic about retail construction while lodging and private office construction tie for second for worst outlook by construction pros. For many, a not so great year is coming but we will survive and then thrive. We fight to build every job right and made it through the Great Recession so we'll get through this, as well.
