Do you plan for chaos or plan for success? Do you get an assignment at work or an idea at home and just start shot-gunning your to-do list before you even have the start of a plan in place? I know I do. I'll get a bunch of random stuff done quickly but won't actually accomplish much towards success with the new assignment or idea. A new assignment or idea can be exciting so it's easy to take action. Action without prior analysis can result in inefficiencies and wrong steps taken. The trick is, as industry leaders, we need to think and plan a bit before going full throttle and then think and plan as we begin taking steps towards success. This is especially true as we start a new year tomorrow. Goals, large and small, at work and at home, will take intentional planning and structured action to reach fruition. So, as we start 2020, set aside some time early in the year to avoid chaos and plan for success on new project and goal pursuits.
