They can be mandatory or optional. They can provide a ton of information and value or next to none. They can be at an office or on site. If pre-bid meeting includes a site walk, you might be able to spot a thing or two that can be leveraged to win. No matter what the pre-bid meeting is like, pro constructors get to identify and size up the competition. Some attendees keep to themselves and others make sure to mad dog everyone there, ask ridiculous questions and share worthless information about the project and the local industry in general. Pre-bid meetings are a time to learn about a project, catch up with the competition and nervously act like you and your company have everything figured out and rolling good.
