Want to Build a Better World? Build With Your Enemies

If you want to make things better, you don't have to talk with everyone you agree with. You need to talk with the people who disagree (have different ideas) with you. If we just talk with and hang out with like-minded people, we'll quickly end up in a echo chamber of ever increasing, and one sided, positions. Everyone and everything outside of our bubble and perspective will seem extreme and 100% wrong. On the jobsite, this means we need to go outside of our regular bubble and perspective to connect with and understand other AEC pros in our pursuit to build a better world. We should try to understand and work along side the occasional crazy client, design pro, GC, sub and/or vendor. They probably have the same goal of building a great project but might have wildly different ideas of what this means and how to get there.
