Workflow

A common term in technology discussions and circles, workflow is essentially the organization or structure of a process or multiple processes. It can include people, tools, equipment, time and other resources required to deliver a service or product. An example of a workflow in construction might be the contract process whereby a general contractor buys out specific scopes of work, negotiates terms and issues contracts. A goal of a workflow may be to automate part or all of the contract process. In theory, the end result would be a faster, more accurate and fair contract development process.
